Hi! I need a roommate starting April 1st. I am the only roommate - and the apartment is in the East Williamsburg area.
I am 43, straight male, creative type (painter & in a band), easy going, quiet, have no pets, the apartment is spacious, 2 bedrooms at far ends of the apartment, so we're not sharing a wall or anything like that - more privacy for sure, there is a bathroom and kitchen, the bedroom is medium sized and has 2 windows, hardwood floors, and you have a closet in the room too, the room gets a lot of sun during the day.
It's a 2nd floor walkup...need $950 deposit and 1st month and last months rent upon moving in, so $2850 total.
Plus of course there's monthly utility costs - we split half gas and electric bills and wifi - can talk more about this.
Preferably I would like to find a busy absentee roomie if possible, I've had those before, someone who is at his or her's significant other's place a lot or works a lot of hours. That said I am out too. Anyways, I'm open to meet with whoever, just need to find someone easy going, sane (hopefully not a high drama type), responsible, pays the bills, has a job and/or steady source of cash flow, not a total slob but not a total clean freak either, y'know someone comfortably in between, also someone who is respectful of quiet times or sleeping hours, again perhaps a dude who needs a crash pad would be preferable, but again I am open to meet with whoever if he or she is nice and personable - and hey maybe you're a creative person too, designer, photographer, writer, illustrator etc..but not a requirement of course! Open to short term renters too - at least a couple months of course.
Also if you do email please provide a rough idea of what your weekly schedule is like, work hours etc, thanks
Also the room will be mostly unfurnished when it's available April 1st. There will be a dresser and a mirror if you need it.
The apartment is located near JMZ, L and G lines, near Grand Street with Lily Thai, Tuffet, Haab, Bahia, Huckleberry's, Noorman's Kil, Lady Jays, Duck Duck, The Graham and more bistros and bars all nearby, supermarkets and laundry and mail depot nearby too, very good walking distance of the Northside and Southside and to Bushwick.
Hear from you, thanks.
