I am looking for a roommate to fill a room in my 3 bed / 2 bath apartment in Brooklyn. I'm clean and quiet and like the same in a roommate. I love going to yoga classes and running (okay, actually I curse running every time I go, but I do it anyway). I'm vegetarian and I try to eat healthy most of the time, but occasionally I enjoy baking and sharing chocolate chip cookies. I love to read and spend time outdoors. The available bedroom is a large size with a big closet and huge sunny window. The apartment is beautiful, with tall ceilings and a balcony. The neighborhood is great with tons of restaurants, shops and bars, plus supermarkets, banks, gyms and anything else one needs to live.

Spacious, sunny bedroom available in Park Slope, Brooklyn. The apartment is a beautiful 3 bedroom, with 2 bathrooms and a balcony off the living room. It has a spacious open floor plan and clean modern look with tons of natural light. The room available is a large size private bedroom, easily able to fit a queen or king size bed plus desk, dresser, bookshelves, whatever. It has its own large closet and a huge sunny window, and shares a bathroom with only one other roommate.
The common areas are fully furnished and the kitchen is newly remodeled and fully stocked, so anything you bring will have to fit in your room. I am looking for someone who can respect the fact that this is my home and I am renting out the room.
There is no smoking here. Of anything. Not even on the balcony. There are no parties either. I need this to be a quiet place where I can come home and relax, and escape from the noise and aggravation of the city. I am looking for someone who also likes a quiet house and who takes it easy when they are at home.
Also, we like to keep an impeccably clean home. Especially in the kitchen. We do our dishes after every meal, and don't leave a mess for the next person.
It will help if you are vegetarian, and you must be an avid recycler and generally friendly to the earth (but no incense or patchouli, please).
You must be clean, quiet, and courteous. You must pay your rent and bills on time, and be employed full-time, or a full-time student with guarantor.
About me: I'm a girl who loves yoga and running, but I've been known to bake and share chocolate chip cookies, and my guilty pleasures are ice cream and reality TV. I have a crazy work schedule, so I need my home to be a quiet retreat at any hour of the day.
My other roommate is an easy going guy with a normal 9-5 schedule, and spends most evenings at the gym. He also values a clean and quiet home, so we're looking for someone in their 20's to 30's with a similar attitude.
We're one block from the subway, and walking distance to Prospect Park and all of the great restaurants, bars and shopping in Park Slope, as well as Whole Foods, the Barclays Center and Prospect Park.
The rent is $1400, not including utilities (internet, gas and electric). First, last and one month security are required to move in, as well as a copy of your ID and proof of income/employment. Must be willing to make a minimum 12-month commitment.
