I am a female in my mid-20s and am currently a full time graduate student at Pratt Institute. I also have a couple of part time jobs. I am originally from the Washington DC area, studied interior design at the University of Wisconsin-Madison undergrad, and moved up here to study historic preservation in architecture. I am a very quiet and clean roommate and prefer to have the apartment be a peaceful environment to chill at the end of the day/week. Would prefer a female roommate of about the same age who also prefers a quiet and clean environment at home.
I do have one cat named Lexi. She is 1 years old and super cuddly and friendly (anyone that will pet her or feed her she will love). She is FIV+ (cat version of HIV), this poses no threat to humans at all, but bringing another cat into the home is not advised.

I am looking for a new roommate to share my apartment on the top floor of a historic brownstone on the Clinton Hill/Bed-Stuy border. To be completely upfront, the room is very small at about 7 feet by 10 feet (not including closet space). My current roommate has a twin bed; a full size bed could fit, however it would take up most of the room. On the bright side, the room has a very large/deep closet with extra storage above. The apartment also has a very large living room, so there will be plenty of room to place any additional furniture such as bookcases out in the living room. The room also has one big window that lets in a lot of light, however it does face the street side of the apartment, so if traffic noise bothers you, this might not be the best space for you.
As mentioned the apartment has a very large living room with high ceilings that is open to the entryway and kitchen, so the common area feels very spacious. The kitchen has a good size fridge, oven, and microwave. I also have a roku TV in the living room that can run netflix, hulu, etc. off of the Wifi (all utilities are included except Wifi).
Heat in the apartment is provided by radiators and air conditioning is provided by fans and window units. There is a small extra electricity fee in the summer to cover the running of the fans and AC window units.
Bathroom has spacious tub/shower - water pressure in the shower is good. The bathroom also has one of the 3 skylights in the apartment - The skylights offer awesome natural lighting to the whole apartment!
The apartment is in a great location in terms of public transportation. The B26 and B25 busses are both within a block and offer access to downtown Brooklyn, the B52 is also about 5 blocks away. The B44 and B44-SBS heading either towards Williamsburg or into Crown Heights are also a half block away. The Nostrand Ave. A/C subway station is about a 5 min walk away, and the Bedford-Nostrand G station is about a 15 min walk away. The Franklin Ave. C station which is also about a 5 min walk away also offers a shuttle which stops at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and Prospect Park!
