Would anyone like to explore apartment hunting with me? Hoping to find 1-3 other people to start something new on our terms. Move in April 21-May 15.
Me: 27, well employed in tech, music producer in my spare time, traveler, Arabic speaker.
Looking for people who are responsible, considerate, mature - probably mid to late 20s or older. With all that said, also looking for people who are open minded and like to cut loose from time to time. Unless it's truly immoral behavior, there is little that would offend me, or that I would judge, lifestyle wise.
Ideal Apartment: Quiet street with some trees and a decent amount of space / not a shoebox - that probably rules out Manhattan, but who knows? Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Astoria, Harlem and surrounding areas are more likely fits. But, not very far east, want to be able to bike to midtown in 20-25 min.
Cleanliness - I am very clean. Need roommates who are willing to take an hour to clean the place with me every 2-3 weekends. If someone cooks, kitchen is cleaned same day, which includes wiping down countertops/tables/stove etc. Leaving behind food scraps is a no go. With all that said, clutter doesn't bother me. I don't care if you leave your shoes/books/whatever somewhere - I will too :)
Other interests - reading, biking, hiking, meditation, movies (sci fi and horror especially).
O, and I have a cat, Bubbles, who is well behaved, doesn't shed, and is clean. I've got his litter box situation down to a T, no smell, no mess.
Please send me a PM and also be willing to put in a little effort to get to know me and other roommates. Let's get a coffee or a drink and see what we think. I realize things move fast but I want to be patient, find the right people and the best place possible!
O, and I am huge on interior decorating - vintage furniture, many many plants (I want the place to feel alive).
As far as bedrooms are concerned, I want to do things as fairly as possible, in the event that some rooms are bigger than others, we would agree on a rent amounts that would match the difference.

We are looking for 1 more roommate to fill an amazing 3 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment in Greenpoint on May 1st. My roommate and I have already secured the place and now looking for 1 more for lease signing.
It is a true 3br 2ba, full kitchen and separate living room. All bedrooms are big enough to fit a bed+desk+dresser and all have big windows and a big closet! The street is quiet and quaint with lots of trees and birds! It is also 2 blocks from McGorlick Park. There is also a place to store bikes. And we have a little patio out front with some benches. The bedroom pictured in the 4th and 5th pic is the one available. This apartment is truly incredible, quite big, and functional.
Monthly rent is $1060, but there is brokers fee required to sign the lease. We would prefer you help pay that upfront, which is 1 month rent, but we may be able to cover your portion of the fee, and just factor it into your rent over 12 months, which would make monthly rent 1150$.
