Hi, my name is Patrick! I am originally from North Carolina but I have been living in NYC for 2 years. I'm a sixth-grade teacher at a charter school in The Bronx! I love my job, it's a lot of work and long hours (7-5) but it's definitely rewarding! I am really chill and I get along with pretty much everybody and I've never had a roommate conflict.
I have a boyfriend that lives in NJ. I visit him on the weekends and sometimes he visits me. That means you'll have the apartment to yourself some weekends!
In terms of living, I keep everything clean. I clean my dishes right after I use them and I keep the mess in my own room (if there is one). I have been living in a great apartment in Hell's Kitchen and I don't want to give it up so I'm looking for someone to move in by July 1st!

There is 1 room in a 2 bedroom apartment available in Hell's kitchen. I have been living here for a year and I am looking for a new roommate to sublet the other room because my current roommate is moving uptown. I'd prefer someone long term. The rent is $1400 per month. Since this is last minute, I plan to cheapen the rent by $45 each day after October 1st. For example, if you move in on October 3rd, you would only pay $1310 for October. A security deposit of $1400 will also be required to move in (~$2800).
The room has a very nice sized closet, fits a full size bed, and a night stand and bookcase.
The apartment has a large kitchen, with space for a table and chairs and a nice bathroom. It's clean and you can't beat the location; in the heart of Hell's Kitchen, with tons and tons of restaurants, Starbucks, close to 1, C, and E trains, laundromat around the corner, and everything is within walking distance.
You'll be living with an awesome guy roommate, that's me! I'm a 6th grade teacher; I'm clean, respectful, drama-free, and fun. I have a boyfriend that comes over on some weekends. I leave early in the morning (6:00 am) and I get home around 6:00 pm.
The ideal roommate would be someone professional, cleans after himself/ herself, helps clean the apartment, nice, respectful, and friendly (not too difficult, right?). Sex, age, and sexual orientation don't matter.
