I'm a Yale grad and former naval officer who's transitioned to a real estate asset management career in New York City. I'm a Senior Associate with the New York Economic Development Corporation in Lower Mahattan during the day, and at night I'm finishing up a master's in real estate finance. My 9-year-old house-trained beagle Draper is used to my busy schedule and is a pretty chill dog.
I would love to room with another young professional who's dog-friendly or better yet, has a dog that needs a friend during the day. I'm pretty laid-back, non-smoker (looking for same), social drinker (mostly just weekends) looking for someone who is chill, clean, and considerate. I do my best to keep the kitchen and common areas clean but am not a neat freak. Honestly, at this age, I'd be down to get a monthly cleaning service so that both of us could focus on other things.
I would also prefer to have not just a roommate but also a friend as well and someone who is equally ambitious and excited about their career. I really believe it's important to surround yourself with people who can lift you up and inspire you in many different ways, both personally and professionally. Since school is almost done, I have to start getting back into my hobbies and interests. A bit more on that: big Game of Thrones and Mad Men fan, played rugby in grad school and am hoping to play still on the weekends, love to cook, love to travel, love reading about politics, history, economics, and art, and I also play piano here and there.
Does it sound like we'd get along? Let's be roommates.

Both rooms are totally vacant and ready for someone to move in! I'm leaning toward taking the "flex" bedroom (no fake walls! all walls go to the top!) so you would take the Master Bedroom (pictured) and have a full closet in your bedroom. I won't be able to access the apt until the lease begins, but I can do site visits with the leasing office to similar apartments. I've also taken photos from a similar apartment and can also provide video. The space will be delivered unfurnished. Apt also features dishwasher and laundry available in the building.
