Bart C - $1,800/month

Just got a job in the city and I'm making the move from DC. I've lived in the capital for about 2 years, ready to get out of the swamp. My job will be in market research focused on China. I'm a relatively quiet, clean guy and I'm looking for someone similar. I am pretty social but I do like alone time to decompress after work. I've never lived in a city as remotely big as new york so I'm looking for someone that can show me the ropes, or if not someone who can be overwhelmed with me. I'm big into non-fiction, board games, craft beer, and I'm starting to get into cooking.

As far as budget and rooming priorities. I'm hoping to spend less than 1900 per month. 1800 would be comfortable. I will be working in Columbus circle and I really want a place that is within a 30 minute commute.
