I just landed a job in tech consulting and am seeking roommates in midtown/lower Manhattan, Brooklyn or Astoria/Sunnyside/LIC. Happy to consider existing places with a room to fill, or seek out an apartment with others.

I'm given to making fast friends regardless of background and interests, and am always down to catch an event or hit a new bar or restaurant. These days I'm planning my strength routine for when I get access to a gym, studying up on too many web technologies to list here, and (naturally) watching too much anime. I've also had serious interests in drums, literature and poetry in the past, and hope to pick some of those back up when I move. I lean left politically, but much prefer a good argument to any genuine animosity. Otherwise, I would always rather listen than talk over somebody, especially in a conflict with a roommate.

As for the more boring stuff, I:

Prefer a short commute (don't we all?), so I'm only considering places within 35 minutes of Grand Central/Midtown East

Will be working 9-whenever, so I will prioritise neighbourhoods where it's safe to walk home late at night

Tend to stay up at night on weekends

Cook most of my meals, and will make you excellent steak on occasion
