Hi, I'm Emerald. I just moved back to Williamsburg from Los Angeles. Looking for a 20s-30s roommate who is tidy, chill, and is open to alternative lifestyles. I work freelance in video production and digital media. My work schedule is kind of all over the place: sometimes it's 12+ hour days or 10-6 office hours, sometimes I'm working from home or in and out throughout the day. Generally though I'm not one to laze around the apartment much - I like to get out and stay active and busy. I also travel often for work so you would occasionally get the apartment to yourself.
I love love love to cook. Food is one of my biggest obsessions in life - trying new recipes, checking out new restaurants, having friends over for dinner. If I'm home, 90% of the time I am in the kitchen. I find I fit best with either a roommate that is just as obsessed with cooking as I am and knows how to properly use and take care of high-end kitchenware, or a roommate who basically never steps foot in the kitchen and is just happy letting me feed them delicious food.
I have a 25lb, 6 year old dog. He is extremely well behaved and cuddly. Ideally I am looking for a roommate that would be okay helping to let him out or feed him if I have to work a long day, or is comfortable with him staying home with them when I travel. Perfect for someone who loves dogs but maybe hasn't had the ability to have one of their own - all the perks without the responsibility!

Bedroom is 8ft wide by 16ft long - can easily fit a queen sized bed, nightstand, and full dresser. Good sized closet in the bedroom with some space in a shared coat/ storage closet. Has large window looking into backyard and baseboard heat - can have a window A/C unit in the summer. The two bedrooms do share a wall.
Apartment is the bottom floor of a newly renovated townhouse - it has a small private front yard, washer and dryer in unit, full sized kitchen, dining space, and large living room. The bathroom is shared, but has a pretty good amount of space and storage. The owners are a couple that live upstairs and are very friendly - if ever needed things get fixed super fast!
Bills are electricity and wifi - to be split evenly. Normal tidying and cleaning will be shared responsibility, but I'd like for us to hire someone once a month to do a deep clean. The apartment comes with a fully furnished kitchen and dining space - I am in the process of buying some new furniture for the living room - but the bedroom is completely unfurnished.
One block to the Hewes JM, less than a 10 minute walk to the Metropolitain G/Lorimer L, less than half a mile to the Williamburg Bridge pedestrian and bike paths.
Ideally November 1st move in date - could be a bit earlier or later. Open to leases from 6 months to a year. Owners require credit and background check and proof of income. 1 month deposit, first and last months' rent to move in.
