I am an artists in my mid-20s looking for 3 roommates to fill this incredibly large and overly accommodating apartment on the second floor in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. We have central AC, a dishwasher in the unit, hardwood floors, a washer and dryer in the basement, and only three other apartments in the building. To get a sense of the area, the apartment is a half block from a grocery store, 3 blocks from a luscious and active park, the B52 stops right across from the building, a 10 minute walk to the G train, and 15 minute walk to the Kingston-Throop C or Nostrand AC stops. This area of Bed-Stuy is filled with cute and fun bars, great food, and nice 24/7 bodegas, so it is very convenient!
I have three rooms available, one for $750/m which is a smaller room in the back of the apartment, and two larger rooms for $850/m: one in the back of the apartment with a balcony access, and the other in the front with two huge windows and exposed brick wall with a fireplace. Utilities and Wifi usually come to $50 each person. I ask for first and last months rent to sign either a 6 month or 1 year lease.
The apartment has recently been renovated, with a cute bakery underneath so you can wake up to the smell of fresh bread. The two back rooms are extremely lovely because you wake up to the sound of the downstairs neighbor’s chickens clucking. The whole apartment is very quiet. All roommates are moving out except myself so it will be almost completely unfurnished.
I am looking for anyone who is happy to live within this low budgeted and rare find in Brooklyn, who is willing to share the duties of the household and are also relatively quiet. I usually keep to myself, but often can catch a long conversation while making dinner or partake in watching a movie together.
