Gabriel N - $800/month

Hi! I’m Gabe, a queer trans man who uses he/him pronouns, and I’m 20 years old, turning 21 this year.

Ideally looking for a space in Brooklyn with an August 15th-September 1st (8/15-9/1) move in.
Budget is around 500-800 per month.

My only requirements about the room and space I wind up in is that it has at least one window of any size, can fit a queen bed (I already have a frame that I’m bringing from home and really don’t want to have to buy a new one), and a strong preference that there is access to laundry in unit or in the building.

I’m open to either joining an existing group or person living in a space (and joining the lease, if wanted), signing a new lease with someone/people also new to the space, or even apartment hunting with others who are looking for places with the same/similar needs!

A lil about me: I’m from Westchester, NY and I’m going into my third year of undergrad pursuing a bachelors in Women and Gender Studies with a minor in Queer/LGBTQ Studies with a focus on intersectional theory.
I’m very lowkey, admittedly sort of a homebody. I like to keep to myself, but also really enjoy connecting and spending time with those around me sometimes. Would love the vibe of like a weekly roommate dinner come together sort of thing or something similar (but it’s not an absolute necessity) ! Definitely looking for a place that values non-judgement and a big focus on Open Communication!
I’m currently learning to cook more dishes; and speaking of food, I’m not vegan or vegetarian but would happily live with someone who is, as long as they’re ok with having meat and someone who eats it in the house.

I have strong credit (730) and a part time job, but mostly I’m a full time student and I’m planning to primarily use my student loans to cover the rent so I might not be able to meet income requirements. I do however have a guarantor, but she only makes approx. $30k a year so I don't know if she'd be much help with that either.
