Heyy!
I'm a 26 yr old female from Austin, TX and moved in NYC in August of 2017 to pursue my MSW at NYU. My current lease is coming to an end and I'm looking to find a new place/roommate!
I'm pretty flex on neighborhoods - after living in Williamsburg and acknowledging that the L is going to shut down soon - I'd stay in Brooklyn if I lived closer to downtown BK (Ft. Greene/Prospect Heights/Park Slope). Otherwise, I'm interested in living in UES/UWS - somewhere near Central Park. I'm also open to West Village or East Village if I can find an affordable spot there (lol).
My current roommates are never around and I've spoken to them maybee four times in the 5 months of living here.. I didn't expect the 'stranger' aspect to bother me coming in, BUT I've realized I want to live with a roommate who I can also be friends with - just creates a better vibe and overall enjoyable experience in the city.
I work p/t at a coffee shop and also have an internship for school, so I'm pretty busy. I'm up most mornings by 6-7A and am home around 7-8P depending on the day! However, I'm big on work/life balance so the weekends I make sure to get out, explore, workout, cook new meals or catch a live show - always welcome company!
My budget is anywhere from $800-$1,300/mo and I'm flex on the number of roommates.
Don't wanna make this a journal entry, so shoot me a message if you're interested in connecting!!
