Hello future roommate!
I've been living in NYC for about 5.5 years, I recently made a career change (I was a special education teacher) so I'm hoping to cut down on costs by sharing my studio apartment for four months. My cat Lucille and I are both quiet and introverted and we're looking for a roomie with a similar temperament--a person who treats home like a peaceful vacation away from the rest of the world. My studio is very large and already fully furnished (except for a second bed). I am extremely open to arranging furniture and dividing up personal spaces (i.e. installing curtain barriers). You won't have to really worry about guests--I very rarely invite people over. Rent includes heat, electricity and wifi. I'd love to get in touch to see if we could be a potential match!

I'm looking for a roommate share my 1 bathroom, studio apartment by Yankee Stadium from March 31st - July 31st for all of some of that period of time.
Hopefully you can tell despite the crazy lighting in my pictures, but this is a very roomy and fully furnished studio (except for your sleeping arrangement)--it easily fits a queen sized bed and living area. There are two large closets--one in the living area and one in the kitchen. The kitchen has ~plenty~ of counter top space and enough room for two to simultaneously prepare food. The windows all face a walk space which flourishes into a quaint little garden in the spring. This pre-war building features laundry, elevators, and a surprisingly beautiful atrium that has left many visitors wondering how I got lucky enough to snag this place. I have a portable AC unit that is easy to install to one of the windows once it heats up outside.
You'll be in a quiet area of Highbridge, very deceptively quiet considering your proximity to Yankee Stadium. You'll be about a 6 minute walk away from the 4/D/B train, getting express access to both the east and west sides.Despite living in the Bronx, I've been able to get to Williamsburg in under 30 minutes! The Bronx Terminal Market (Target, The Home Depot, Bed, Bath & Beyond, etc.) is within walking distance, but my building is also right next to a bus stop for a bus that takes you directly there, which is great when you want to buy in bulk or if you're feeling particularly lazy.
Considering the size of the apartment, I'm very interested in seeing if there are any scrappy folk out there who would be up for dividing the space with a roommate--this could be ideal for current students or recent grads looking to spend a summer in NYC.
