Hello, I'm a really easy going considerate man looking for a long-term room somewhere in Manhattan starting early to mid August. I'm stable emotionally and financially. I only occasionally drink and don't do drugs or smoke. I have no pets.

I keep mostly regular hours but probably will be working late often. I won't regularly be working from home or overnight hours.

I'm looking for a comfortable, homey environment. I don't mind living with men, couples or women. In fact most of my roomies have been women. You won't get the creepy, pervy vibe from me.

I am respectful of boundaries and personal space. I like home to be a refuge, a place where I can relax and my roommates can relax as well.

About cleanliness: I work with my roommates to keep common areas clean. About organization: I'm roughly midway on the spectrum, leaning maybe a little more to the disheveled end. So...if you absolutely must organize your soup cans alphabetically with labels facing forward, we're not a fit. Conversely, if you keep piles of books and magazines on the floor and stairs and there's clutter everywhere, we're also not a fit.

I'm in my mid-50s, but I like to think (possibly delusional) that I don't come across as an old geezer. I get along well with all ages so don't let my age rule me out. Still, I obviously won't be out clubbing and I like to wind things down early in the evening so I can get an early start. I'm active socially, but not a party animal and don't want to live in a party house.
