Looking for a roommate in Brooklyn, Manhattan - New York

Kyle R - $2,000/month

About Me

I am looking for a new place to call home starting 6/1. I'm pretty flexible on location, but prefer Manhattan (Upper E/W Sides and below) or Brooklyn (Downton BK, Boerum/Cobble Hill, Dumbo, Brooklyn Heights area).

I'm looking to either find an open room in an apartment, but also open to pairing up with someone to find a place. Ideally looking for a roomie that views an apartment as a place of rest and relaxation from the busy city and hectic schedules.

Here's a bit about me:
- I'm a soon-to-be 29 yr. (gay) guy who works in consulting (i.e., sold my soul to the corporate world).
- I'm responsible and reliable (e.g., pay rent + utilities on time)
- I'm respectful and considerate (e.g., clean up after myself, make sure all is good in the hood with the roomies, etc.)
- I'm fun, at least I think so (e.g., enjoy playing in intramural sports, checking out new restaurants with friends, running/gyming, etc.)
- I don't have a pet, don't smoke, and don't have an addiction of any kind (except if you count the occasional Netflix binge).
- I have some social media accounts to stalk, if desired.

Here's a bit about what I'm looking for in a room/apartment:
- I'm looking to live in a true 2-bedroom apartment, with windows in the common areas and bedroom (lol at city living)
- Monthly rent < $1,800/month
- No preference re: furnishings
- Close to a subway

Here's a bit about what I'm looking for in a roommate:
- Similar age, working professional who's friendly, active, and social
- Share similar values re: respect, responsibility, cleanliness, and such.
- I'm pretty keen on having clean/clutter-free common areas (e.g., kitchen, bathroom, living area.) and being considerate in general re: sound/noise level, cleanliness/tidiness, guests, etc.
- Non-smoker
Not looking to living with a couple

State on site not active
My maximum monthly budget 2,000
Move in Date Jun 2018

Age 28
Occupation Associate Consultant At The Chartis Group
