Hello! A large, bright room in a Brooklyn apartment will be available with a friendly South African roommate (me!) for move-in from Aug 1. I work in theatre education, love music and the arts, and have a background in History and Gender Studies. Grew up in South Africa and can promise copious amounts of rooibos tea. :) Lover of clean spaces. LGBTQ+ -identifying and -friendly. Love pets! Happy to play with yours if they like attention, but unable to take care of them myself. Vegetarian (Please no strong-smelling meat cooking. I don't mind if you eat meat, but please do so sensitively and use your own pans/crockery/cutlery.) Frequent baker, always in need of taste-testers. Please no smoking (of any kind. Sadly, the smell of weed makes me nauseous. :/) Friendly and happy to listen if you need to vent about your day. Also respectful of space as I enjoy my own, too. Always willing to talk about house stuff like expectations from one another (eg. buying toilet paper and taking out the trash.)
