Julia V L - $2,000/month

About Me

I’m 32, single female, working professional – have a regular 9-5 job, my office is in Chelsea. During the winter I’m either hibernating, at brunch/museum, or visiting my family in Connecticut. I am pretty chill, laid back – if I have wine or beer in the fridge and you feel inclined to drink some that is totally OK as long as you replace it. I don’t cook usually…ever, once I made stew during the huge snowstorm but that’s about it. I’m not an OCD neat freak but keep a tidy and clean apartment, I’ve been known to leave a dish or glass in the sink overnight but respect the shared space and always try to clean up after myself. I currently get a cleaning lady every two weeks to come and clean the bathrooms, living room and mop the floors. I love wine, if you don’t drink wine and/or judge people that drink wine a lot then this probably won’t work…not that I’m an alcoholic but there are those people that passive aggressively judge. I am super sarcastic; I like to think I have a good sense of humor…I smoke cigarettes occasionally on the patio but never inside. Basically, I want to live with someone that is chill, preferably someone that enjoys drinking wine, likes Beyoncé and HBO Sunday night television (during Game of Thrones there is zero speaking in the living room during the show) and overall is tidy, will offer to clean the bath mats and dish towels once in awhile – respect the space and be OK with a single 30-something NYC lady.

Available Room for Rent

Soho with outdoor space and large room

One large bedroom, furnished partially (includes full size mattress, box frame, and nailhead upholstered headboard from West Elm) and wooden dresser. The dresser has to stay but if you want to move in your own bed/bedframe that is totally fine. The room is downstairs and there is not a door but is fully private, there used to be thick board material lining under the stairs but had to remove it when re-doing the apartment and never replaced it but super simple to add back. The room has its own private half bath with a sink and toilet. There is an air conditioner that can be installed during the summer but has been removed for the winter. There is electric heat on the floorboards as well as a radiator that functions. The room, as mentioned, is on the second level and upstairs is the shared space that includes the living room, the “kitchen” – it is a small gas stove/oven and refrigerator and kitchen sink – zero counter space except for the freestanding island. The living room has an L shaped sectional that converts into a queen size bed and I have a flat screen television mounted on the wall. The full bathroom is upstairs as well – this includes the shower that will be shared and there is a sink, toilet…the typical bathroom features. There is also a door that leads to the backyard patio where I have furnished with lounge chairs, etc. and have turf down to give it some greenery (next spring I plan to grow ivy up the fence and create a more serene garden situation)
