Looking for a roommate

Chelsea R - $1,500/month

About Me

Hia, my name's Chelsea, but my friends call me Edit/Edi. I use they/them pronouns. Here's the scoop:

I'm an NYU Steinhardt grad student looking for queer-friendly housing (and/or a potential roomie to apartment hunt with) in the greater NYC area. I'm super quiet and very staid. Looking for a place to stay while finishing the last two semesters of my degree. Ideally, I will move in sometime in August 2019.

I do not have a significant other, and I do not intend to get one any time soon.

I cook and bake often, and I like to share the stuff I make.

I admit that my room tends to be a little messy, but I am also very hygienic. I try to clean my room and the kitchen once a week.

My hobbies include drawing, writing, gaming (video, board, card, tabletop-- you name it), and watching good-bad movies.

I'm an atheist, but I really like Jewish culture and traditions, so I sometimes attend Friday night/Saturday morning services. I will happily live with persons of any faith.

I drink occasionally, but I like to keep a bottle or liquor and/or some beer on hand. I don't do any drugs or even smoke weed really, but I don't mind if you do as long as it's nothing too extreme.

I am a very frank person; if I have a problem, I like to address it head-on. I also prefer that, if you should have a problem with me while I'm staying with you, you bring it up in a direct, non-confrontational manner so we can work it out. I do my best to be conscientious of others' sensitivities, needs, and quirks, and I hope you will do the same for me.

These are by no means deal-breakers, but I would consider it a bonus if:
-You have one or more cats (I will help take care of it; I love cats)
-Our apartment has a gas stove
-You are also single and uninterested in dating
-You are also (a) student(s)
-We have similar interests

I can provide a reference from my most recent roommate if you are interested!

I'm not on Facebook, but you can find me on LinkedIn here: https://www.linkedin.com/in/chelsea-riordan-a555b8166/

You can see some of my art/my cooking/my parents' cats on insta @typhoidsteve
