Looking for a roommate in Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan - New York

Amy R - $1,100/month

About Me

Looking for 1-2 girls who would like to search for an apartment together for November/December move in.

I work in Midtown East, looking for an easy commute to Grand Central, no more than 45 minutes. Trying to avoid any area of Brooklyn unless it's in downtown or Brooklyn Heights area. The L shut down will making commuting a nightmare. Would ideally like to keep my budget under 1100. Less would be great. Open to any area, but love Hamilton Heights, UES, UWS, Lower Manhattan, and interested in exploring Astoria, Sunnyside and Hoboken, as long as the commute is around that 45 minutes. Max commute time is an hour for the perfect place, but would prefer way less than that.

I have a cat, so no allergies please! He loves cuddling when I'm not around so hoping to find animal lovers who will love hanging out with him! I am 28, work in real estate as a leasing consultant, am originally from IL and have lived in Greenpoint the last three years. I have an entire living room set up ready to go for a new place. Comfy sectional, chairs, entertainment center and more. Would love to find a great place with a lot of space, as my current apartment had a basement for storage and was massive!! The entire floor of the building!

I love to read and will have my book club group over on occasion as we rotate hosting duties. Otherwise, I prefer to keep a quiet home. I like having my home as a relaxing and quiet environment to come home to after work, and hope my new roommates feel the same.

Looking for someone clean, considerate of others you live with, are willing to buy communal supplies and someone who is comfortable with all that living with a cat entails.

I've started seeing some great places and would love to secure at least one roommate for an immediate-November 15th move in date. I am staying with a friend and my commute to work is long, so looking to find something sooner rather than later!

Would love to have some kind of relationship with my new roommate/s rather than just co-existing with each other.

Please reach out if you would like to know more!

Thank you!
